When I review content on the web, what information should I be reviewing?

Once your site has been refinished into the new look and feel for the NSU website, as a content partner, you should shift your focus from design to content maintenance. A website that is up to date and fresh is one of the keys to encouraging continued user engagement.

  • Have you ever clicked on a broken link and weren't able to continue on in your web journey?
  • Have you ever been distracted by a typo in something you were reading online?
  • Have you ever experienced the rush to get in an application only to find the application deadline wasn't correct on the site?

These are all instances that we should try to avoid. As a content partner, you are the subject matter expert, who likely has first line knowledge of what's occurring in your college or department.

The list below includes examples of what to review for accuracy:

  • Application Deadlines
  • Accreditation Information
  • Program Curriculum Information
  • On page Links and Buttons to Ensure They Are Working Properly
  • On page errors / Typos
  • Expired Event Calendars or Information
  • Past Admissions Open-House Information
  • Changes in Insurance Information (Health Professions)

If any of the information above needs an update, feel free to submit a web request form and we'll update it for you.
